Good to know
These are static QR codes: the entered content is encoded directly, with no WP Buddies redirect or tracking. Generated codes have no expiry added by this tool, but the destination may change or expire. Maximum content is 1,000 UTF-8 bytes. A clear four-module border and a dark-on-light contrast check are included. Wi-Fi codes disclose the network password to anyone who scans them.
A few useful answers
Does this QR code expire?+
The generated image does not expire. A linked website or screenshot can still expire or stop working. Creating a QR code for a seven-day screenshot does not extend the screenshot lifetime.
Is my content uploaded to a QR service?+
No. QR content is encoded in your browser using a locally served library. The existing interface font may load from Google Fonts, but QR text is not included in those requests.
Can I change the destination after downloading?+
No. This is a static code, not a managed short link. Generate a new QR code if its content needs to change.
Which format should I download?+
PNG works well in web pages and messages. SVG scales for print layouts. Preserve the border and scan-test the final printed or displayed code.
